THOMASTON — Mrs. Nellie Johnson Buchanan, 77, of Thomaston, Ga., died, Friday, February 22, 2013 in Providence Health and Rehab.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 26. 2013, in the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Upson Memorial Gardens. Rev. John Dahlman officiated.

Mrs. Buchanan was born in Washington, Wilkes, County, Ga. to the late Floyd C. Johnson and the late Eva Mae Lindsey Johnson. Prior to retirement, she was employed in the Administration Office of J. C. Penny, in Jonesboro. She was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Buchanan; two brothers, Thomas L. Johnson and William E.(Gene) Johnson.

She is survived by sisters-in-law, Phyllis Johnson, Thomaston, Ga.; Ellen Johnson, Peterstown, W.Va.; niece, Tommie Ellen Bradley, Peterstown W.Va.; nephew, Keith (Joy) Johnson, Carrollton, W.Va. Three great nieces, one great nephew and numerous cousins also survive. Memorial donations may be made to Giddeons International, P.O. Box 1034, Thomaston, GA 30286.
