MEANSVILLE - Mr. Danny James Story, age 55, of Meansville, passed away February 6, 2013.

He was born in Thomaston to the late Oscar Daniel Story and Florine Evelyn Kersey Story. In his younger years he worked for Martha Mills in Thomaston and Dundee Mills in Griffin and later as a mechanic and “jack of all trades” for the Upson County Road Department. He enjoyed the outdoors and farming. He loved his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Zachary Littlefield.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years: Patsy Story; son: Rodney Story and wife Haley of Meansville; daughter: Jennifer Phillips-Littlefield and husband Harvey of Barnesville; grandchildren: Nalai Story, Tyler Story, Ryan Phillips, Abagail Littlefield and Colton Story; sister: Joan Story Coleman and husband Robert of Meansville; brother: George Randy Story of Meansville; several nieces and nephews and many loved ones.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, February 8, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the Story home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, at 2 p.m. in the Rehoboth Church of the Nazarene with Pastor James D. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Story Family Cemetery, 2181 Rose Hill Road, Meansville.
