Mrs. Maebelle Mangham Ellerbee, 98, of Thomaston, died Wednes-day, December 26, 2012 at Riverside Nursing Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ellerbee were held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 a. m., at Fellowship Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Patillo officiated and a private burial service followed in the Hendricks Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellerbee was born in the Lifsey Springs Community of Pike County, a daughter of the late Floyd Elmer Mangham and Georgie Adams. Prior to her retirement she was a seamstress at the Bleachery Division of Thomaston Mills for over 28 years.
Mrs. Ellerbee was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Ellerbee and infant child, Nathan Ellerbee, Jr.
Mrs. Ellerbee is survived by two daughters, Carole (Bernard) Sloan of Panacea, Fla., and Barbara (Frank) Tarpley of Thomaston; a son, Allen (Anna Mary) Ellerbee of Thomaston; two sisters, Margaret Brown of Meansville and Lucille Oglesby of Lifsey Springs; a brother, Doug Mangham of Zebulon; six grandchildren, Paige (Joel Shore) Sloan, Beverly (Bill) Russo, Jeff (Joy) Tarpley, Julie (Jimmy) Adams, Hank (Thao) Webb, and Anna (Jay) Harris; and 11 great-grandchildren.
