Mr. Hugh Edwin Thompson, age 78, of Thomaston, Ga., died November 29, 2012 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Thompson was born on March 9, 1934 in Thomaston, Ga., to the late W.H. and Lizzie Lou Thompson. He worked as a farmer and also owned Thompson Slaughter House.

Survivors include his daughters, Ms. Sheilah Thompson of Thomaston, Ga., Mrs. Judy Dingler of Elijay, Ga.; son, Mr. Bubba Thompson of Thomaston, Ga.; brothers, Mr. W.H. and Gladys Thompson of Phenix City, Al., Mr. Moses and Clarice Thompson of Yatesville, Ga., Mr. Charles and Mary Alice Thompson of Barnesville, Ga.; sisters, Mrs. Betty Sue and Wesley Wilson of Milner, Ga., Mrs. Sarah and Jimmy Hearn of Barnesville, Ga., Mrs. Joyce Waller of Barnesville, Ga., Mrs. Linda and Larry Walker of Barnesville Ga.; five grandchildren. one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Upson Memorial Gardens.
