Senior quarterback Corey Moss, runs over a Jonesboro defender for a TD late in the third quarter, giving UL a 28-25 lead over the No. 9 state ranked Jonesboro Cardinals. However, the Cardinals would rally to retake the lead early in the fourth quarter. Trailing 38-35 with four minutes remaining in the contest, Upson-Lee was stopped short on 4th down and inches to go. Jonesboro would add a late TD run, sealing the 44-35 victory over the Knights. Moss finished the game with an astonishing 265 yards rushing in the contest, just nine yards shy of Alex Collier’s school record for most rushing yards in a single game (274 yards).
