If you’re looking for some good entertainment, but don’t want to drive all the way to the big city, then the Thomaston-Upson Arts Council (TUAC) has just the thing for you.

On Saturday, Aug. 16, Nashville Star’s season five winner Angela Hacker will take the stage at 8 p.m. in the R.E. Lee Auditorium.

Hacker won a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records in Nashville after auditioning for NBC’s Nashville Star, and over night her dreams of becoming a professional singer came to life.

“We really want to bring more artists of interest into Thomaston,” said Darren Day, Vice President of TUAC. “Hopefully, Hacker will fit the bill.”

Tickets are on sale now and according to Day, it would be better to go ahead and purchase them now. “There’s limited seating in the R.E. Lee auditorium and anyone interested in going should make sure they have a spot reserved. It’s going to be a great show that you wouldn’t want to miss!”

You can purchase your tickets to see Angela Hacker, along with local opening act “Wisteria”, at the TUAC Gallery, located on the Square. Call 706-647-1605 to charge by phone or for more information.

“We’re really excited to see such bright stars right here in Thomaston,” said Day. “Come out and check out the show, it’s going to be loads of fun!”
