The Thomaston-Upson Arts Council held their annual Summer Solstice Saturday evening at Park Lane. Money from the event went directly to fund TUAC's operation to provide arts to the community. People showed up to bid on both silent and live auctions involving a little bit of everything from clocks to trips. Food and drinks were on hand as TUAC members had a little fun helping out as they played on gaming tables to test their skills, but found the safest bet was donating to TUAC. “This year's is a lot more upbeat than those in recent memory,” said TUAC Executive Director Carmen Ellerbee. “I think everyone is having a good time and it's all in fun. The bottom line is that we are raising a lot of money for TUAC. I'm thankful and TUAC is thankful for everyone who came out tonight.” See more pictures on page 10A.
