Mr. Darden died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006.

Mr. Darden was born and raised in Upson County.
Survivors include his father, Mr. Elijah Darden Jr. of Thomaston; his mother and step-father, Mrs. Synthia (Andrew) Nixon of Thomaston; daughters, Mykeshia Darden of Greenville and Shaterria Ausbrooks and Vienna Carter, both of Thomaston; sons, Jamel Bray of Greenville, and Jamarcus Ausbrooks and Xzorion Pennyman, both of Thomaston; brothers, Mr. Tyrone (Cathy) Perry of Thomaston and Mr. Anthony Richardson of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sisters, Ms. Devoney Harris and Ms. Shadena Hobbs, both of Thomaston; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Eppinger of Thomaston; and paternal grandmother, Ms. Mary “Dolly” Alford of Thomaston; Aunts and uncles are Ms. Ethel Jean Eppinger, Mrs. Barbara Ann (Joe) Eppinger, Ms. Deloise Harrell, Ms. Mae Alford, Ms. Hazel Alford, Mr. Bennie Floyd (Mary Jo) Eppinger, Mr. Kevin (Carlisa) Harris, Mr. Christopher Alford and Mr. Timothy (Adella) Alford, all of Thomaston, Mrs. Susie Ann (Alvin) Harp of Stockbridge, and Mrs. Mary Jane (Deloach) Ponder of Griffin; great aunts and uncles, Mr Ronnie Darden and Mr. Robert (Delores) Green, all of Atlanta, Ms. Carolyn Hobbs, Ms. Sara Holt, Mrs. Lillian (Jerry) Hancock, Mrs. Eppie Seals and Ms. Martha Kate Green, all of Thomaston, Mr. Joe Louis (Ann) Green and Mr. Jimmy Green all of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Eula M. It is the request of the family that all food be carried to the church, where the family will be served fllowing the service.
