The Upson-Lee Knights and Lady Knights both remained undefeated in region play Friday night as they defeated the Jordan Red Jackets.

The Lady Knights (5-4, 3-0) eased to a 15-0 win over Jordan, as they used just over 50 minutes to snag the region win.

The Lady Knights jumped out to a very comfortable 10-0 lead at halftime.

Jesse Larson sparked the Lady Knights with three first-half goals while Kristen Ledford followed with two goals. Elizabeth Adams, Hailey Pope, Erika Hudgins, Sarah Gardner and Heather Hall added one goal each in the 10-goal first half.

With a 10-goal lead after intermission the Lady Knights had just 20 minutes in the second half to finish off Jordan, and they used just 12.

Kristen Ledford scored two second-half goals and Sarah Gardner, Erika Hudgins and Jesse Larson added one goal each as the Lady Knights thumped Jordan 15-0.

While the Lady Knights were easing to a 15-0 mercy-rule win over Jordan, the Knights were in for a struggle.

At least for a while.

Brandon Logue gave the Knights (9-0, 3-0) an early lead with a goal just a minute and half into the game, as the Knights seem to get off to a comfortable lead.

Wynn Trice and Joey Cook scored back-to-back goals for the Knights in the next 10 minutes as Upson-Lee got out to a 3-0 lead. But Jordan wasn't about to let the Knights get away with an easy win.

Jordan took advantage of an Upson-Lee defensive error and was able to cut the Knights' lead to 3-1, but that's all the noise the Jackets would make as the state's tenth ranked Knights were able to pull away.

Kyle McGee and Will Bentley scored one goal each to finish out the first half as the Knights took a 5-1 lead into the break.

Bentley picked up in the second half right where he left off in the first as he scored a goal just three minutes into the half. Logue scored two second-half goals while Cook and Trice added one goal each in the second half to give the Knights a comfortable 10-1 win.
