Mr. Rakestraw died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003 at Crawford Long Hospital, in Atlanta.
Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rakestraw was born in Upson County, Ga. He was a self employed auto body and fender repairman.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Rakestraw of Butler; a son, Mr. Lucus Rakestraw of Butler; a daughter, Jessica Rakestraw of Butler; mother, Mrs. Shirley Hendrix of Griffin; brothers, Mr. Ricky Rakestraw, Mr. Tim Rakestraw and Mr. Tony Rakestraw all of Griffin; sisters, Melissa Rakestraw Clark and Mrs. Connie Smith both of Griffin; grandchildren, Ansley Hutchens and Berklie Rakestraw.
