All-Stars finish 3-1

MANCHESTER – Despite going 3-1 in the first round of the 2015 Pee Wee State Coach Pitch Five Team Round Robin, the Thomaston-Upson Dixie Rookie League All-Stars will not advance to the second round. Brookwood won all four of its games, including an 11-8 win over Thomaston Saturday morning and advances. And Swainsboro will advance, having only given up 15 runs in its four games, compared to Thomaston’s 22 runs given up. Only the top two teams advance.

But the T-U All-Stars played well, winning three of their four games. Friday night they won in three innings as they pounded the Jones County Purple. Saturday morning they fell to Brookwood, 11-8, but bounced back Saturday afternoon, defeating West Macon 10-7. The T-U All-Stars ended their tournament and season with a 7-3 win over Hogansville.

The All-Stars scored 10 runs in the first inning against Jones County, and added four runs in the second and five in the third to win the game in three innings on the mercy rule, 19-1.

Trace Peaden led the way at the plate, going 3-3 with a homerun and two singles, with 2 RBI and scoring twice. Nytraeveion Jones was 2-2 with a homerun and a double, with 3 RBI and scoring twice. Jayden Wise was 2-2 with a single and a double, and scored twice, Trey Webb was 2-3 with a double and a triple, 2 RBI, and scored twice, and J. Thomas Reeves was 2-2 with two singles and scored twice. Trent Peaden was 1-1 with a single and scored twice, Caden Speck was 1-2 with a single, Walker Stevens was 1-1 with a triple, 1 RBI and scored once, Camden O’Neal was 1-1 with a single and scored onece, and both Cohen Ivie and Tyler Pasley scored twice.

Brookwood 11

Playing at 11:30 Saturday morning, the T-U Allstars battled back from deficits of 4-1 and 11-3, scoring five runs in the last inning, but it wasn’t enough and Brookwood took the win, 11-8.

Mason Hardemon was 3-3 with three singles and 3 RBI, and scored once. Nytraveion Jones was 2-2 with a double and a single, an RBI, and scored twice. Cohen Ivie was 2-3 with two singles and an RBI. Trace Peaden was 1-3 with a triple and 2 RBI, and Walker Stevens was also 1-3 with a single. Trey Webb was 1-2 with a single, an RBI, and scored once, J. Thomas Reaves was 1-2 with a single and scored twice, Caden Speck was 1-2 with a single and scored once, while Camden O’Neal was also 1-2 with an single.

West Macon 7

The T-U All-Stars didn’t dwell on their loss. In their second game Saturday, they took an early 4-0 lead and held on to win 10-7. Cohen Ivie led the way at the plate, going 2-2 with two singles, 3 RBI, and scored once. Nytraveion Jones was 2-2 with a double and a single, 1 RBI and scored three times. Trace Peaden was 2-2 with two singles, an RBI and a run scored. Tyler Pasley was also 2-2. Trey Webb and Mason Hardeman were each 1-3 with a single, an RBI, and Webb scored once, while Caden Speck and Camden O’Neal were each 1-3 with a single and scored once. Trent Peaden was 1-2 and scored once. J. Thomas Reeves and Jayden Wise each scored once.

Thomaston 7

Hogansville 3

The T-U All-Stars ended their 2015 season on a winning note Sunday afternoon, defeating Hogansville, 7-4. Jayden Wise led the way at the plate, going 2-2 with two singles, 1 RBI, and scoring once. Walker Stevens was 1-2 with a single and 1 RBI. Trace Peaden and Cohen Ivie were both 1-1 with singles, 1 RBI each, and each one scored once. Nytraveion Jones was 1-3 with a double, 1 RBI, and scored once, while Caden Speck was 1-1 with 1 RBI and scored once. Trent Peaden was 1-3 with 1 RBI, Trey Webb was 1-2 with 1 RBI, while Mason Hardeman and Tyler Pasley were each 1-2, and J. Thomaston Reeves and Camden O’Neal each scored once.
