Knights advance to Sectionals as Region 4 Runners-Up

The Upson-Lee Knights golf team hosted the Region 4 Golf Tournament at Raintree Golf Course on Friday. Teams started at 8:30 a.m. in a torrential down pour and continued until around 2:30 p.m. when the last pairings came in.Last season the Knights just missed qualifying for the Sectionals by three strokes, and finished as the Region Runners-Up to Spalding. Free breakfast and lunch for students next school year under CEP program

Starting in the 2014-2015 school year, all students in the Thomaston-Upson School System will receive free breakfast and lunch. That decision came at the Board of Education meeting on April 8 when the BOE voted unanimously to apply for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). The CEP allows schools that serve a large percentage of low-income children to offer free school meals to all students.

Knights rout Eagles 15-0, still alive for Playoffs

After a tough 3-2 defeat to Griffin last Wednesday, the Upson-Lee Knights were able to put the heartbreaking loss behind them and take care of business against North Clayton on Thursday at Silvertown Ballpark.
