The Georgia Funeral Directors Associate honored Mr. Lewis Cochran Bennett with a memorial service for his many years of dedicated service during their 112th Annual Convention in June at the King and Prince Beach Resort on St. Simons Island, Georgia. Mr. Bennett served the people of the Thomaston area as a funeral director for over 50 years and was also active in the Thomaston Sertoma Club, the West Central Georgia Auburn Club, the Boy Scouts of America and Thomaston First United Methodist Church.
