Ester Maddox celebrates 106th birthday!

Ester Maddox turned 106 years old on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, earning her the distinction of the oldest resident at Providence Health Care and possibly the oldest person in all of Upson County. She is the mother of six children who gave her 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her family marked the special occasion with a party of cake and ice cream at Providence. Mrs. Maddox is pictured with three of her children (left to right) Charles Blackwell, Larry Blackwell and Annie Blackwell and granddaughter Stephanie Piotrowski.

Ester Maddox is a strong, brilliant and lovely woman. I am so very PROUD of all that she has accomplished and still achieving in her lifetime. I’m even more PROUD to call her my nanny. I love her dearly.
