Why law-enforcement officers are important

In the U. S. approximately 2,222,196 burglaries happen per year. This is why law-enforcement is important to the community. They protect us from criminals, especially when they are heavily armed, they protect our property, and the law-enforcement patrols the community, looking for anything suspicious.
To begin with, the law-enforcement protects us from criminals. As a police officer, their responsibility is to protect life. They take extreme risks to protect the general public. They put themselves in danger to protect the citizens of the community. The citizens of our community can live peacefully, knowing that our law-enforcement is on duty.
In addition, they protect our property. They are on duty 24/7. They respond to all emergency calls. If someone is breaking into your house, who do you want to help you? The police are on call for break-ins, robbery, and vandalism. They also respond to noise complaints and domestic disturbances.
Finally, they protect the town and community of its citizens. They check all businesses for lock-ups to prevent break-ins. They patrol the streets and the neighborhood looking for anything suspicious. Police officers work during the night, on weekends and holidays keeping the community safe. They have the power to arrest people who are breaking the law.
Law-enforcement is important to our community. I say this because they protect us from criminals, they protect our property and they do patrols. The main role of a law-enforcement officer is to serve and protect the people, the community and enforce the law.
