Marvin Kendrick Adams, 78, of Thomaston, died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle while trying to cross Highway 19 North in front of The Colonial Motel. According to the Upson County Sheriff’s Office, Adams was struck in the northbound lanes by a pickup truck driven by Fredrick Napier, 40, of Thomaston. Adams was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coronor Richard Lee. In the photo, emergency workers hold up a sheet to block the view of the victim from passersby.
