Lady Knights down Jonesboro; Knights suffer first loss

After the Knights and Lady Knights each defeated North Clayton by a 4-1 score to earn their first Region 4 victories of the season, Upson-Lee squared off with another region foe, the Jonesboro Cardinals.

The Lady Knights defeat Jonesboro by a 3-2 score, but unfortunately the Knights lost a close 3-2 decision.

The Lady Knights earned 8-0 shutouts from their No.1 singles player, Natalie Rosales, and their No. 2 singles player, Rachel Bridges.

The Lady Knights earned their game winning points with an 8-3 victory by the double team of Erin Stallings and Keylee Neighbors. The victory moved the Lady Knights region record to 2-0.

The Knights earned two points from Andrew Fletcher (No. 1 singles) and Bo Hendrix (No. 2 singles). The Knights No. 3 singles player Drew Daniel, nearly earned the victory for the Knights, but lost by a slim 9-7 margin.

The Knights and Lady Knights took on Eagles Landing on Thursday, but the results were not available by press time. Look in Tuesday’s edition of The Times for the results of the match.
