Former Upson-Lee Knight Jared Jordan (right) is currently one of the top sprinters at Albany State University. Over the past month, Jordan has won the 100m race at the Savannah State Relays with a time of 10.73 seconds, and the 100m at the Morehouse Relays with a time of 10.64 seconds. Jared was part of the Knights 4x100m team that finished as the State Runners-Up last season with a school record time of 41.73 seconds. Jordan also was the Region Champion in the 100m last season with a time of 10.80 seconds and the 200m Champion with a time of 21.67 seconds. As a member of the Rams track team at ASU this season, Jordan has also found success on their relay teams, running the anchor leg in the 4x100m relay and the anchor leg in the 4x200m relay. Just over a week ago, the team set a season’s best with a time of 40.90 seconds in the 4x100m relay, and they also finished in first place at the Morehouse Relays in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:25.97 seconds.
