Mrs. Farzanna McCord, age 58, who resided at 1109 Green Valley Road in Griffin, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013. The family may be contacted at her residence.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 321 East Taylor Street in Griffin, Georgia. Interment followed in the Westwood Gardens at 1155 Everee Inn Road in Griffin. Reverend Dr. Cleopatrick Lacy is pastor and Rev. Eddie Johnson Sr. was the Eulogist.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother, Linda Pate and Larry Shannon, and uncle, Joe B. Yarbrough.

Mrs. McCord is survived by 5 children: Terrencia Neal (Robert) of Zebulon, Ga.; Haniyyah Allen (Mextier), Tiffany McCord (Marion Miller), Rodney McCord (MeQuanta) and Joseph Blalock, all of Griffin, Ga.; 7 grandchildren; Jumayion Allen, Jaequez Allen, Jordan McCord, Jhaden Allen, Jalen McCord and Zhyion Miller, all of Griffin, Ga.; Zankyedriah Neal of Zebulon, Ga.; sisters and brothers: Lucy Yarbrough of Fayetteville, Ga.; Harriet Hollis (Charles), Bernice Phinazee Alexander, Stanley Phinazee (Yvonne) and Darrell Phinazee, all of Zebulon, Ga.; Helen Crowder and Melissa Britt of Griffin, Ga.; Rev. Terry Harper (Stasia) of Barnesville, Ga.; aunt, Betty Ann Yarbrough of Zebulon, Ga.; uncle: Arthur Yarbrough (Lynn) of Griffin, Ga; devoted niece, DeWanda Britt ( Wayne Dixon) of Zebulon, Ga.; a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very dearly.
