Bernard Searcy of the Upson County Road Department was selected as the Upson County Employee of the Month for December 2012. Road Superintendent James Melton wrote the following about Searcy: “Bernard began working at Upson County Road Department on July 14, 2008. He was hired as a Maintenance Worker and worked his way up to Equipment Operator 1. From this position he advanced to running one of the grass crews. Bernard is an outstanding employee and is very willing to do what needs to be done whether it’s cutting trees, driving dump trucks or flagging traffic. Bernard takes pride in his work and the Road Department is lucky to have Bernard as part of our team. Keep up the good work.” Bernard Searcy is shown receiving his award from Commission Chairman Maurice Raines.
