A relative of mine called the other day to say she’s been noticing something about one of her favorite television programs. She said: “It’s quite obvious the producers of that reality show are pushing an agenda.” She went on to say she’s come to the conclusion that those in charge aren’t all that interested in entertainment, but more motivated in pushing an agenda that makes Christians look like kooks and homosexuals as mainstream. She added it was like a lightbulb that went off in her head and she’s vowed to never watch that show again.

Another relative of mine recently told me she subscribes to three magazines and two of the three are pushing a gay and lesbian agenda in the content they print on a monthly basis. She said she came to that conclusion a few months back and has decided to let her subscriptions run out and take it a step further by writing to the editors of those two magazines to state she doesn’t appreciate the agenda push they’re deploying.

That same relative, who subscribes to the magazines, also told me about a complaint she has with a large Indiana newspaper she reads. She reads two or three newspapers daily and said the largest of the three also pushes an agenda in the content they print. She said she plans to cease her subscription on that large newspaper, but claims the other two smaller newspapers don’t push an agenda like the large one does.

Call it coincidence, happenstance, or intellectual guidance from above, but it was reported recently that the publisher of that same large newspaper sent out an email to thousands of people stating that her newspaper was about to develop a strategy to force the governor of Indiana and elected officials to succumb to an agenda they are about to push pertaining to homosexuality.

That same large newspaper was purchased in 1998 for a little over a billion dollars. Since that time it’s lost 75 percent of its circulation, and it’s now valued at a little under 50 million. Some may say that with the advent of the Internet and instantaneous news, it’s hurt newspapers. I’m sure it has, but there are other elements to be considered as my relatives see it.

It would seem journalism is no longer about reporting the news, but something else.

I recently heard the term “Cultural Jihadists” used. I’m not quite sure who coined the phrase, but it fits.

One might say politicians, journalists, and activists who force their opinions on others could be viewed as “Cultural Jihadists.”

President Barack Obama said he would fundamentally transform America, in reality he’s done his level best to dismantle it. He’s shrunk America’s military forces to near 1940s levels while not proclaiming America’s greatness at all, but apologizing to the world for its existence.

Acclaimed artist Jon McNaughton stated: “One Nation Under God, a simple phrase, added to the Pledge of Allegiance over 50 years ago has been the source of unbelievable debate and heated controversy. Likewise, the phrase ‘In God We Trust’ on our currency has been targeted and continues to be attacked as improper and politically incorrect. Lawsuits have been filed and legal minds employed to ascertain whether such statements violate the concept of ‘separation of church and state.’

As the debate continues, some so-called experts have implied or concluded that our Founding Fathers and Patriots were not religious. Those secular champions, in an effort to further their own causes, have even painted those great men and women from America’s history as being devoid of religious passions or even a belief in God. That is a part of their strategy to remove any discussion of God from the public forum.”

As the 2016 presidential election approaches I suggest you search your conscience to determine who the “Cultural Jihadists” really are. The Democratic front runner, Hillary Clinton, continues to lose ground in the polls – she’s up to her neck in scandals. The closest competitor to her is Bernie Sanders, a professed socialist.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump continues to lead in the polls. If the current trends remain he will no doubt be the next President of the United States. Oddly enough, no matter how many attacks the Cultural Jihadists wage against him his popularity grows. It would appear a few are beginning to realize that the media has an agenda and the status quo is stale.
