To The Thomaston Times:
I would like to start with a thank you for the generosity you showed to the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Thomaston, Ga., and the J.O.Y. Community Development Program. This is our third year of our enrichment summer camp, which is a non-profit organization. The sharing of your services and the publicity you provided helped in the success of this year’s camp tremendously. This is an eight-week program designed to help develop the whole child through Christian, academic, social, and athletic development, along with a feeding program consisting of two free meals and a snack daily, Monday – Friday, from 12 p.m. through 6 p.m. through the entire summer vacation from school. The program this year ran from June 1, 2015 to July 29, 2015, with a graduation ceremony on the evening of the last day of the camp. If you will, please keep up with this annual event and its progress if you wish to be a participant of this community program in the future. Please reach out to me if we can be of any assistance to you in any way. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness.
God bless you,
Rev. Edward Searcy II, Sr. Pastor
