Knights fall short in 37-29 loss to Greyhounds

Upson-Lee senior Deven Green nearly pins his opponent in his 138 pound match with Jones County. Green won his match by points with a 16-2 decision. Green was one of six Knights to win their matches in the 37-29 loss to Jones County on Wednesday evening. Max Duncan (120 pounds) won his match by pin, Michael Kirschmann (145 pounds) won by a 10-6 decision, defeating a Greyhound who was a state qualifier last season. Keyontae Robinson (152 pounds) pinned his opponent in the first round for six points, Bo Cummings (170 pounds) defeated his opponent in a tightly contested battle by a 4-3 score, and Treyvon Collins (106) pounds earned a first round pin for the Knights. Upson-Lee senior Jacob Gross (195 pounds) and his opponent each had a double default due to blood. Gross and his opponent both had cuts that they could not get to stop bleeding.
