MEANSVILLE - Mrs. Rosa Lee Salter, age 72, of Meansville, died at her residence on Saturday, September 7, 2013.

Mrs. Salter was born in Crawford County to the late Henry Jackson and Isabell Bloodworth Cochran. As a retired owner-operator of the Fish & Chick in Woodbury, she enjoyed cooking, and was a member of Elkins Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil Salter of Meansville; daughter, Ms. Sherry Salter of Thomaston; sons, Mr. Stanley (Deborah) Long, and Mr. Timmy Long, both of Thomaston; brother, Mr. Henry (Dorothy) Cochran of Sunnyside, Ga.; and sister, Mrs. Thelma (Philip) Strickland of Thomaston; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Salter will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Elkins Creek Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 9, 2013, from 5-7 p.m., at Coggins Funeral Home.

Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
