About 40 people gathered on the square in Thomaston last Thursday at 11 a.m. for the annual National Day of Prayer. There was Scripture reading, music, and praying. One man fell to his hands and knees to pray on the courthouse steps, while a second, one among many, raised his hand and head toward Heaven while the Rev. Keith Johnson sand “We Will Remember.”
