Each year the Thomaston Sertoma Club passes out copies of the Declaration of Independence to Upson-Lee North Elementary fourth graders for Presidents Day. This year the club was delayed a little while due to the ice storm and school closing, however they met at the school on Thursday, March 6 to distribute the documents and speak to the classes about the importance of the Declaration of Independence. In the group photo are students of Heather Rawls’ home room with Sertoma members Ray LeFils, Dan Brown, Phil Hancock and Russ Bridges. In the second photo, Sertoma member Russ Bridges, who organized the event, looks over the Declaration of Independence with several students Thursday morning.
