The Springfield Baptist Church Male Chorus provided the music for the banquet.
Jordan Thompson, a 6th grader in Macon who also belongs to the Mary Lizzie Baptist Church, spokle of Dr. King - The Child.
Eugene Fuller, Jr., an Atlanta attorney, spoke about Dr. King - The Man.
Rev. Derrick Shelton, Pastor of Springfield Baptist Church, talked about Dr. King - The Clergy.
Ralph Dickey, Jr., backed up by Master of Ceremony Alvin Trice and the Springfield Male Chorus, sang a solo for the banquet.
Upson County SCLC President David Price thanked everyone for their support of the SCLC.
A Commemoration lighting was held. The middle candle was lit for Dr. King. The left candle was lit for the late Upson County SCLC Vice Chairman, Bishop Alonzo Taylor, and the right candle was lit for the late SCLC member Bobbie Watson Jordan.
Guests at the banquet enjoyed the music and presentations on Dr. King’s life.
