The Georgia Stampede Mounted Drill Team traveled to Ocala, Florida on November 8 through 10 to compete in the 2013 Sunshine State Mounted Drill Team Championship. The event was held at the BG Resort. Teams from all over the state of Florida attended the state wide competition. Scores from the two-day event were combined to determine the winner of each division of the competition. The Georgia Stampede won the 2013 Florida State Championship after earning first place in the Youth, Maiden, Open and Jackpot Quad divisions, and finishing third in the Jackpot Open. The team is comprised of riders from Spalding, Lamar, Pike, Upson, Henry and Monroe counties. Members of the team competing at the championship competition are as pictured, MaKayla Williamson, Annalysa Vaughn, Mollie Rose Biles, Coach Butch Biles, Gayla Sizemore, Maggie Cooper and Anna Sizemore. Georgia Stampede recently welcomed new members, Hannah Freeman, Kaylee Jo Pitts, and Summer Steele.
