Drug bust results in two arrests
Upson County Sheriff Dan Kilgore released the following statement on October 18, 2013:
“On October 17, 2013 at 8:45 p.m. deputies from the Upson Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from The Thomaston Police Department, the Barnesville Police Department, and the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at 104 Robinson Street in Upson County. Approximately 16 grams of powder cocaine valued at $1,600 and 12 grams of marijuana valued at $360 was found during the search.
Two Upson County men were arrested and charged with violation of the Georgia controlled substances law. Brandon Price, 27, of 104 Robinson Street was charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with the intent to Distribute. Brian Character, 27, of 212 Roberts Street was charged with Possession of Cocaine with the intent to Distribute and Possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute. Both men are in the Upson County Jail pending bond.
