After participating in a rigorous week-long school, Upson Lee NJROTC cadets Zach Clay, Keves Collier, Savannah Hill, Tariq Jackson and JayCee Sheperd recently graduated from Area 12 NJROTC Leadership Academy held at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, GA.

While there, the cadets participated in early morning daily physical training and tests, classroom academic instruction, room inspections, uniform inspections and drill training. According to Upson Lee NJROTC Commander Jim Jarvis, these cadets are considered the best of the best and are authorized to wear the prestigious silver cord on their uniform.

Also at the academy, Cadet Commander Chad Moore, who graduated from the academy last year, served as a member of the cadre while CDR Jim Jarvis served as the academy executive officer and Petty Officer Chuck Meyerriecks was a classroom instructor.
