This time of year, Christmas trees throughout Thomaston and Upson County are aglow with lights and decorations, all celebrating the Christmas season.

For the 16th year, the Spade and Trowel Garden Club decorated the Government Complex and the Archives for the Christmas Season. The club enjoys continuing this cherished tradition for the citizens of Upson and the surrounding counties.

The club provides tree decorations and garlands and wreaths for the inside of the complex, as well as more decorations outside in front of the complex.

Last Thursday night, the Thomaston-Upson Arts Council (TUAC) Glee Chorus joined Santa Claus as Thomaston’s Christmas tree at the Greatest Generation Memorial Park was turned on. The chorus sang Christmas songs and Santa met with good little boys and girls at the event.
