For the upcoming election in November, Jeff Middlebrooks has announced that he is a candidate for the District 2 Thomaston City County representative. The son of Mrs. Willie Clyde Middlebrooks is a member of the 1980 graduating class from R. E. Lee High School. Jeff is the father of one daughter, Ms. Shakeirra Middlebrooks, who is an educator in the Jasper County School System. He has been employed with the Upson County Recreation Department for 26 years and Southern Crescent Technical College for 13 years.
As Athletic Superintendent at the Upson County Recreation Department, he is responsible for organizing and maintaining a practical budget for the extracurricular activities of our youth. His experience of working with the public has gained him opportunities to obtain knowledge regarding the concerns of our city residents. While working as a security officer at Southern Crescent Technical College, he has participated in resolving numerous complaints in a way that would bring justice while maintaining regulation and order.
As an active member of Mary Lizzie Baptist Church, Jeff’s purpose in pursuing a position on our city council is to simply improve our community as a whole by working together to address the concerns of the people. Jeff solicits the votes of those living in the District 2 area so that together they can move forward for the betterment of our city in success.
