The Rock – The Rock Ranch, a 1,500-acre working cattle ranch founded by the late S. Truett Cathy, Founder of Chick-fil-A,® kicked off Fall Family Fun Days last weekend with a wide variety of outdoor family activities. Each Saturday during the fall, kids and parents alike can enjoy a full day in the country with acres of room to run and play. Visitors can enjoy zip lines, hay rides, pumpkins, Tiny Town (a village of themed playhouses), a locomotive train, a petting zoo, paddle boats, pumpkin cannon, pony rides, cane pole fishing, carousel, live bands, special events, and much more. Special event day themes this year include “Lumberjack Day”, Georgia’s official “Day of the Cowboy,” Hot Air Balloon Rally, “Not So Spooky” Halloween Fest, “National Pumpkin Destruction Day,” and “Great Outdoor Adventure.”

The Rock Ranch also offers the challenge of navigating a corn field maze. This year’s corn maze celebrates “Georgia Grown” produce, products and livestock. The Rock Ranch itself produces Brangus beef that is grass-fed, grain-finished with no steroids or hormones. The ranch also grows fresh produce including strawberries, blackberries and fresh corn just to name a few. This produce is sold in the farm’s Georgia Grown certified Farm Market. U-Pick experiences are also available from spring through the fall.

“We’re very excited to celebrate Georgia’s diversity in locally grown food and products, this year,” said Jeff Manley, general manager of The Rock Ranch. “An experience at The Rock Ranch is going to be a full day of activities and memory making for families, and our visitors are going to have fun learning about Georgia’s largest industry, agriculture, which contributes billions of dollars to the state each year.”

The Rock Ranch is a beautiful 1,500 acre working cattle ranch located an hour or less from Atlanta, Columbus, and Macon in The Rock, Georgia. It’s a place where families, school groups and even businesses can come to enjoy what we call “agritourism.” The Rock Ranch was founded by the late S. Truett Cathy, Founder of Chick-fil-A, and is current owned by the Cathy Family. Visit www.TheRockRanch.com.
