Mrs. Margie Howell Odom, age 83, formerly of Thomaston, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Golden Living Center Northside in Atlanta. Mrs. Odom was a native of Thomaston, a daughter of the late Fred Howell and Nell Mathis Howell. She was a homemaker and attended Grace Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Oliver "Jimmy" Odom.

Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, July 27, 2010, in South View Cemetery, with Elder Billy Morgan officiating.

Mrs. Odom is survived by her children, Sandra (Will) Hedrick of Decatur and Steven R. Odom of Atlanta; her brother, Donald (Jenny) Howell of Thomaston; her grandchildren, Matt Odom, Leslie Miller and Melissa Walton; and a great-grandchild, Shelby Grace Walton.
