Mr. Hugh Douglas (Doug) Orr, age 49, of Griffin, passed away July 23, 2010. He was born in Monroe, GA. He participated in Civil War re-enactments with the 30th Georgia. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a former member of the Southside Riders. Doug was a jokester and liked blue grass music. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Orr.

A memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Neal Baptist Church in Concord. Rev. Clarence Burton will officiate. Please contact family to confirm time.

He is survived by his wife, Liz Orr; mother, Edna Grace Orr of Griffin; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Kevin Burton of Griffin; grandsons, Lance Corporal A.J. Joiner and Ryan Joiner; two sisters, a brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
