TUAC presents ‘Always A Bridesmaid’ Friday and Sunday at Fine Arts Center

April 11, 2014

The Thomaston-Upson Arts Council is presenting “Always A Bridesmaid,” on Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. at the Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center.

Directed by Pat Dobson, this hilarious comedy follows four high school friends who make a vow to be in each other’s weddings, no matter what. Little do they know that 30 years later, they’re still keeping that promise. Join Deedra, a headstrong, no nonsense Northern transplant with a dry wit, Monette, a flashy, trashy, Southern to the bone flirt, Charlie, a tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, acerbic free Southern spirit, and Libby Ruth, a hopelessly romantic, plain spoke and guileless sweet country woman, through the years as they navigate the choppy and unpredictable waters of their friendship and many marriages.

Dr. Keith and Vicki Huckaby and Upson Regional Medical Center are corporate sponsors. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children/students and are available at the TUAC Gallery, 201 South Center Street, on the square in Thomaston, or at the door. For more information, call 706-647-1605.
