As the clock winds down after this year’s success with “Reimagine Thomaston,” there is speculation of a repeat already in the air. Last Saturday, “Reimagine” brought a project of Doers of the Word Ministry to this Community and surrounding areas. The spiritual awakening along with the love and compassion this organization donated to the community and surrounding areas was complete spiritual bliss!
“I think that when we come together at such an event with an expectancy heart of faith, denominational and racial walls fall down, and that is when the spirit of love shows up,” organizer Linda English said after the event. She add that they are looking at “Reimagine II” for March 2015. Volunteer meetings will begin as early as this year in October and everyone will be notified.
Park Lane was filled with families being ministered to through different pastors, praise dancing in the air with beautiful bright array of colors to signify the love of Jesus, mimes showing their face and love, and church choirs filling the sky with beautiful tunes. Many people were brought to the Word of Christ through this event. Prayer arriors were on the scene with spiritual enlightenment in many people lives. Lives were converted on the spot and with great success. The children voices and laughter filled the air along with activities on the children’s inflatables, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, crafts, and games. The children received free “haircuts” from local barbers, which was a blessing for the children and the families. There were no worries whatsoever as each person came to receive this awesome power of love, support, and prayers from the community and through the Doers of the Word Ministry.
All activities were free to all guests along with a food give away of more than 10,000 pounds, health screening, AIDs testing, diabetes information, live music, haircuts, youth/team activities/sports, community agencies, free clothing, lunch, manicures, free baby diapers, and much more fun. Businesses, churches and civic organizations came together really showed their support for the community and love was shown through the giveaways!
Greg and Linda English of Pensacola, Florida have put together at least five other community giveaways in the Pensacola area, but never in Georgia. Shortly after they bought a farm in The Rock, they saw a need here and organized Reimagine Thomaston.
