Deputies find drugs on suspect after chase

Upson County Sheriff Dan Kilgore released the following press release on Monday, November 2, 2013:

“On Monday , December 2, 2013 at approximately 2, deputies from the Upson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brandon Price, 27, of 227 Pineview Drive, Thomaston for Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. Deputies approached Price, who was loitering along Maynard Street in Potato Creek Heights. When approached by deputies, Price fled on foot. Price initially resisted arrest when caught up with by Deputy Chuck Farr, but was taken into custody after a short struggle. Once in custody, Price was found to be in possession of 51 rocks of crack cocaine valued at $510 and a separate “slab” of crack cocaine valued at $200. He also had $253 in small bills on his person.

Price is in the Upson County Jail charged with: Loitering, Obstruction of a law enforcement officer and Possession of Crack Cocaine with the intent to Distribute.

At the time of his arrest Price was free on bond for another drug case occurring on October 17, 2013.
