Our most sincere thanks and appreciation for the beauty of The James Dawkins Youth Sports Complex Field! The greatest “thank you” comes for making the facility one of the prettiest fields in our area and we shall always cherish the work that you expended in making it so.
Randy Watson and Donna Watson for chauffeuring us onto the field to the Podium for the Dedication Ceremony in your pretty golf cart; freshly painted for the event and covered with pretty balloons!
Mickey Thrasher and Jim Pruett for your lifetime commitment to the Athletics and co-hosting with James in the Press Box at Matthews Field for all home games, forever! And to Dave Piper for contributions to make it so, with WTGA always!
Jim Fowler and Bobby Smith for all the time, attention and devotion each of you gave in recommending to the Powers-That-Be, this event should be.
Bill Barber for your beautiful words to the Lord for all of us at the Dedication and words of wisdom for the future of this facility.
And, again to all you who attended the Dedication, gave us the loan of your children through these, now 61 years of our 65 years of marriage. If we have missed anyone who had a part in the Dedication we feel you in our heart. Knowing our age surely must let you know where we are, it was not by intent.
And, to the local newspapers, The Thomaston Times & Upson Beacon, who have allowed us the privilege to contact you in this manner.
To each of you we extend our most sincere appreciation and love and ask God’s Blessings on each and every one of you. All of you have been a goodly part of “our family” through the years and may God grant to each of you the joy you’ve shown to us.
Sincerely, James and Betty Dawkins
