After playing some tough non-region competition this season with the likes of Taylor County and Northside Warner Robins, the Lady Knights were looking to get a victory in region play against a 0-5 Eagles Landing team on Tuesday in McDonough. Last season the Lady Golden Eagles entered a game with the Lady Knights with an 0-4 record and knocked off Upson-Lee 46-36 to get their first victory of the season.

After a tough 58-56 loss to the Taylor County Vikings in their season opener, the Knights and head coach Darrell Lockhart knew that their rematch on Saturday night would come down to the wire, as is usually the case. On Tuesday morning the GHSA reclassification committee placed every high school which plays in the association in their regions for the next two years. Some schools knew already where they would be and have been for years, while others like Upson-Lee, which have been moved seemingly every two years, had no clue where they would spend the next two atheltic seasons. After the dust had settled, the Knights fell into Region 2 in AAAA.
